These drawings are most popular at mingling events, like galas, reunions, and parties that children are not necessarily invited to. (Though we’d be happy to draw them for kids, too!)

Maggie crafts these in-color sketches candidly, meaning that you never have to sit down or pause your conversation. She will hang out in a corner, take photos as guests enter, or wander amongst guests, and create one-of-a-kind art based on attendees and what they’re wearing. Especially at events where one dresses to impress, these are a lovely memory of who wore what!

All that is required for these events is a table and chair to be a “home base,” someplace that the artist can sit down without being in the way of any of the festivities. If you want a “gallery” of the art as it’s made, providing a larger table or some kind of board/wall to stick the drawings to is usually ideal. This also allows for guests to wait until they’re ready to leave, to pick up their drawing.

The below examples are colored with markers, but can be done in grayscale or stark black/white. Let us know if you have a preference, ahead of time!
